Fuschia and Time.

Closeup photograph of a Fuscia Flower

Fuschia,  June 2017.

With life and work I have have little free time and free time is used to work on my images and photography.  Over the past year I have been working on a series of photographs; call it a project if you want.  This Fuschia photograph is not one of them, and hence the problem.

I of course posted this on my Facebook page, and three Facebook group pages.  At last count this image has garnered over 300 likes and comments in social media!  None of my “project” images comes close to that.  Every year when the mood strikes me I venture out the door and proceed in taking what Doug Lingard, the first photographer who hired me as an assistant as “happy snaps.”  It amuses me for the moment. Every year, when posted on social media, the results are the same; hundreds of likes.

Most of the time I photograph what I like the most; the “mundane,” the unoticed and because of the nature of the beast “likes” and “comments” are few and far between.  Most of the time it is industrial architecture, the old, the overlooked, the “new landscape.”

My photography habit and computer is funded from print sales only. Maybe I should spend more time on presenting the flower images for galleries and sales.  Leave a comment if you want.
